Mr. Coude specializes in business strategy (B2B and B2G), marketing, management, and business growth, both locally and internationally (mainly in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean). Throughout his career, he has successfully supported over 250 companies in developing and implementing their strategies.
Before becoming a senior consultant in 2009, Mr. Coude worked at INTERPRO consultants (specializing in information technology in the electric power sector) as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and a partner of the organization from 2005 to 2009. From 2000 to 2005, he was a founding member and the general manager of Info opportunities, a monitoring center and center of expertise on public markets (government procurement). During this tenure, he also co-authored two books and created the "Doing Business with Governments" series at Transcontinental Editions.
These two books explain how to do business with governments—primarily in Quebec and Canada—and how to write a winning proposal in the context of public procurement.
Mr. Coude holds a Doctorate in Business Administration for Executives (EDBA) from Université Paris Dauphine, earned in 2014 with the distinction "Very Honorable with Jury Congratulations," or "Summa Cum Laude," and received an equivalence for the new Executive PhD degree from the same university in March 2023. He also received a Post-MBA diploma from the Harbin Institute of Technology in Shenzhen, China, in 2009. Additionally, Mr. Coude has a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) for executives from UQAM and an Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA) from Université Paris Dauphine. He obtained these two degrees in 2006 as part of the UQAM/Paris Dauphine double degree program and received his diploma from Université Paris Dauphine as a UQAM scholar.
During his studies, he refined his strategic skills, notably by writing a guide on how to do business with governments internationally as part of the MBA/EMBA double degree program. His post-MBA thesis focuses on public markets in China, and his professional doctoral thesis addresses negotiations at the WTO within the framework of the Government Procurement Agreement ratified by around forty countries, as well as the reasons for the failure of foreign multinationals in China in these markets.
Finally, Mr. Coude has taught business strategy in various MBA and EMBA programs at McGill University and HEC Montréal, as well as in undergraduate and graduate programs at HEC Montréal, the School of Library and Information Sciences at the University of Montreal, the University of Quebec in Montreal, and the University of Ottawa.
