Julien Longchamp is an engineer passionate about innovation and new technologies. A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, Julien has a degree in electrical engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke and a master's degree from the École de technologie supérieure.
Early in his career, Julien stood out in international engineering competitions. In 2016, he made a mark at the Shell Eco-marathon Americas with a victory in the overall ranking and setting a new world record for the most energy-efficient battery prototype vehicle. Also active in solar car racing, he completed the American Solar Challenge and the Formula Sun Grand Prix as the race strategy director for the Éclipse club at the École de technologie supérieure in Montreal.
With over 10 years of experience in the field of transport electrification, Julien has worked on various types of vehicles. From cars and off-road vehicles to bicycles and buses, he has worked with numerous innovative technologies. Thriving on challenges, he excels in interdisciplinary projects where different engineering disciplines intersect.
Julien participated in the journey of two startups in the electric vehicle sector, each time as a pioneer. At the first, Alizeti, based in Montreal, he developed and patented an innovative traction control system for a friction-based electric propulsion system for bicycles. Later, at Exro Technologies, he led the company's commercial growth by launching numerous projects across Canada, the United States, Latin America, and Europe.
